The Islip Resource Recovery Agency (IRRA) was created by New York state law in 1982 by referendum of the voters of the Town of Islip for the purpose of providing solid waste management services. The core values of the Agency are to benefit the people of the Town of Islip in improving their health, welfare and prosperity.
